Science in Action
Pick and Hammer representatives manned a booth at the Sam Noble History Museum in Norman, OK. They educated the public on the rock cycle and rock identification, answered questions, and helped identify any items the public brought in.

Gloss Mountain - Oklahoma
Pick and Hammer took a trip to Glass Mountain in Northeastern Oklahoma on Saturday, the 20th, to hike and collect selenite crystals.

Student Mineral Auctions
Pick and Hammer hosted several silent student mineral auctions There were new minerals each day as well as a "Buy it now" table featuring minerals and fossils you could purchase immediately.

Pick and Hammer hosted its first Geology Movie Night there was PIZZA and Jurassic Park.

Tucson Gem and Mineral Show
Officers and potential officers went to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show to procure minerals for the Alumni Auction. They were able to get donations and make valuable contacts for future years.

Valentine's Day Sale
The club sold chocolate and rose rocks for Valentine's Day

Italy Study Abroad Fundraiser
The club hosted a fundraiser where they sold T-shirts and raffle tickets for a variety of items donated from Backwoods, all proceeds went towards scholarships for Geology Study Abroad Participants.

The club hosted a mineral auction several different specimens up for silent auction as well as a "Buy it now" table featuring some rotating specimens that you can purchase immediately

Pick and Hammer and AAPG met at Sooner Bowling for an evening of food and fun.

Spring 2015 Arkansas Trip
The club took a few people to Arkansas April 3rd-4th to dig for quartz crystals and visit Crater of Diamonds.

Alumni Auction & Banquet - April 17th
Club members had a night of fun and fine dining at the 2015 banquet. While enjoying the dinner, they sold several fine mineral specimens to the visiting alumni.

Last Meeting of the Year
Current club officers tied up the end of the year with club graduation cords for the graduating members that had been active in the outreach program. Then club members voted for 2015-2016 club officers.

Mohs Winners
The club officers gave awards for the members that participated in the outreach program. Winners were scaled from 1-10 based on the Mohs Hardness scale. Thanks to all those who participated, we couldn't have done it without you.

Girl Scouts Earth Day
The Club had a booth at the OKC Zoo for the Girl Scouts Earth Day Celebration. Volunteers demonstrated various geological principles while showing some awesome models and rock specimens.

Annual OU/MCEE Spring Picnic
The school had its annual Spring Picnic at Lions' Park in Norman. There was a softball game between the Geologists and the Geophysicists, followed by a barbeque and awards ceremony.
Sama Khawaja won the diamond award for her 22 hours of outreach service.

Geology softball team
Representatives from the 2014 & 2015 graduating classes give Dr. Elmore a new "sand cutting" machete. 30 minutes after receiving it he cut his thumb and went to the ER for 7 stitches.

Climb Up
The club returned to the Climb Up gym for its last event of the year. It's been a memorable one!
